This mod was only posted in mid-November, but it’s already risen to become one of the more popular mods on CK3’s Steam Workshop hub. It’s still in alpha at the moment, but it’s already looking pretty impressive. New mechanics include a ‘High King’ system, new partition laws and lifestyles, even a “dynamic cattle” system which revamps development and casus belli, centered around lucrative cattle herds. It’s based on the ‘Book of Invasions’, and is steeped in Irish mythology. It features over 1000 counties distributed among 32 kingdoms at the game’s start, which is roughly 400 BC. Tales of Ireland is a total conversion mod that focus solely on Ireland, giving it a level of depth and dedication not seen in any other historical strategy game. The current version is v.395.4, and there is a non-Steam version available if you need it. This offers an excellent complement to those looking for more Imperator: Rome-themed content, now that active development of that game has been halted. There will be more start dates as the mod develops, but at the moment you can take charge of many of the prominent entities around at the end of the 4th Century. This WIP mod offers a total conversion that winds the clock back to 395 AD, around the time of the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The Crusader Kings setting lends itself quite while to anqtiquity as well as the medieval period. The Fallen Eagle: The Dawn of the Dark Ages
