To the right of the mist door, at the edge of the area, is a summon sign. Inside the chest is a ring that limits the max HP loss each time you die, so if you die a lot, then it’ll be worth attempting to get it. Once he’s dead, look around to find a white knight sat next to a chest. Head through the broken arch and then down the stairs to face another club-wielding old knight. One of them is a tall, narrow arch, and the other is a tall, broken arch. There are two other exits from this room.
Once they are dead, head to the area they were guarding to find another pillar. The other two will stick together, so try and kill the greatsword knight as quickly as possible before they attack.
The next area has three old knights in it, one of which wields a greatsword. Pull the lever on this, and head to the left. Once he’s defeated, a pillar will rise from the floor where he was stood guard. Otherwise, it’s quite easy to fall off the edge. Head through the arch to another old knight – bait this guy back towards the arch as manoeuvring around him is dangerous. The corpse hanging to the right of the stone arch has a Soul and a Human Effigy on it. Don’t get greedy with your hits, and he’s easy. Attack when he slams the floor, but you’ll only get a chance for one hit before he recovers.
Despite his size, you can easily absorb his hits with your shield.
Head back up to face another old knight – though this one has a club and is harder to attack. Once you’ve defeated this guy, head down to the right to find the bonfire, and light it. The best tactic is to sit close to their sword arm – they’re so tall that a lot of their attacks will go over your head. As with most large enemies, they hit hard but slow. Head forwards, and you’ll see a much larger old knight in front of you.
